Process.

Blossom Able wrote a five page script of which I drew the two pages I thought encapsulated the largest action of the story. The story is based on a fashion trend Coco Chanel popularized. The main attributes of which were the short hair and bronze skin.

The main character of the story, a young girl of Indian decent, sees a tanned white woman and thinks all she needs to do to fit into society is cut her hair since her skin is already naturally bronzed.

Originally I did not color these pages, but years later I revisited the project because I felt the story did not have the same impact without it.
